Relationship of Adiponectin with Metabolic Syndrome Indicators in Pregnancy: A Cross-sectional Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction: Obesity, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia and hypertension are indicators of metabolic syndrome (MetS). Low serum adiponectin levels might be able to predict MetS. Objective/Aim: This study was meant assess relationship between MetS adiponectin. Materials Methods: In this cross-sectional study, women in their 24-40 weeks pregnancy were selected. The consisted two groups, one group comprised 100 control, healthy pregnant women, while second with known gestational diabetes. Body mass index (BMI), systolic diastolic blood pressure participants recorded. Blood tested for HbA1c, HDL, triglycerides, levels. Results: BMI 30% ≥30 kg/m², 43% the had HbA1c ≥6.5%. HDL lower than normal participants, triglyceride higher 78% participants. SBP 23% Adiponectin level low >60% cases. No statistically significant difference found both groups. DBP within limits normal, diabetic group. TAG it Regression analysis showed that could diabetes our study. Conclusion: Hypoadiponectinemia like hyperglycemia

Major components of metabolic syndrome and adiponectin levels: a cross-sectional study
BACKGROUND Adiponectin is a major regulator of glucose and lipid homeostasis by its insulin sensitizer properties. Since decreased insulin sensitivity is linked to metabolic syndrome (MS), decreased adiponectin levels may be related to its development. The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between adiponectin levels and MS. METHODS Firstly, we cross-sectionally examined...
